Message from the Founder

Late Shri M. D. Neelgund

Shri M. D. Neelgund was an advocate by profession and a dedicated social worker.

He understood the needs of middle-class families who wished to own a home but struggled to purchase plots with clear titles and convenient installment options.

Recognizing this challenge, he resigned from his government employment and entered the field of real estate development in 1982. This marked the beginning of Neelgund Developers, established under the name “Jawahar Co-operative Housing Society.”

His business philosophy focused on flexible payment schedules, delivering plots with clear titles, and providing prompt client service. This earned him immense trust and enabled him to launch more than 42 projects over a span of 32 years.

Shri M. D. Neelgund was also deeply involved in social service activities, including community development and primary education for the underprivileged. He served twice as a Member of the Hubli–Dharwad Development Authority, contributing significantly to the growth of the real estate sector, town planning, and overall development of the twin cities.

He was a living legend and social activist who dared to dream of improving the welfare of society. His vision was to ensure that every middle-class family could afford to fulfill their dream of owning a home in the twin-city township. He worked tirelessly toward this cause and helped countless people achieve their aspirations.
